A perfect storm.

So around noon today the first snow flake flew. It's now 7 pm and we already have 18 inches of snow. Forcasters had suspected rain this evening on top of the snow, but it doesn't look like we'll get the rain until tomorrow. And that's when things will get interesting. Last time we had snow then rain, the rain melted the snow down into two solid inches of ice. The roads turned to rivers because the ice clogged the sewer systems. Parking lots turned to lakes. Soccer fields turned into picture perfect, and I mean Mariucci quality, outdoor hockey rinks.

And that was with half the amount of snow that's out there right now.

I give the odds fifty-fifty. Could be ice. Could get warm enough to keep it all slush.
